Abstract
The A2Π–X2Σ, and B2Σ–X2Σ, transitions of ScS were observed in the near infrared. The vibrational quantum numbers of the A2Π state could not be determined absolutely because of the lack of sensitivity of the film at the longer wavelengths. The vibrational constants for the X (ωe = 565.2 cm−1) and B (ωe = 488.2 cm−1) states were deduced from the band heads.
