Neutral complexes of the indium dihalides

Abstract

The neutral complexes In2X4•2L (X = Cl, Br, I; L = 1,4-dioxan, tetrahydropyran, tetrahydrofuran, tetrahydrothiophene), In2X4•2L (X = Br, I; L = dimethylsulphide), In2X4•4L (X = Cl, Br, I; L = piperidine, piperazine, morpholine), and In2X4•4L (X = Br, I; L = pyridine, dimethylsulphoxide) have been prepared. Solid state Raman spectra indicate that the compounds contain indium–indium bonds.
