Abstract
A catalog listing known Frankia isolates and introducing a homogeneous numbering system for all strains will be published and distributed to interested scientists. Details are given concerning the procedure to be followed for cataloging the strains as well as the coding of information about them. An up-to-date listing of actinorhizal plant species is included along with the codes to be used for each plant taxon.
