Nuclear g factors of excited 2+ levels in 194Pt

Abstract

The g factors of the 329 and 622 keV levels of 194Pt were measured using perturbed angular correlations of gamma rays in the decay of 194Ir detected with Ge(Li) and scintillation counters. The rotation angles for the two levels are[Formula: see text]in agreement with earlier measurements using scintillation counters. Using recent values for the mean lifetimes of the levels, the g factors are[Formula: see text]
