Abstract
Sixty American eels from six localities in Newfoundland and Labrador were examined for metazoan parasites during the period June, 1967–July, 1969. Fifty-eight percent were found to be infected with digenetic trematodes (three genera), cestodes (two genera), nematodes (two genera), acanthocephalans (two genera) and copepods (one genus).
