Abstract

This study was carried out to analyse the influence of merger and acquisition activity on the performance of Indian banks. The study examines the current developments Merger and Acquisition (M AND A) in Indian banking and the subsequent impact of M AND As investigated in Indian banks. The study focuses on the performance evaluation of M AND As in the Indian banking sector before and after the merger and acquisition activity. Overall, the report suggests that M AND A transactions in the banking industry may produce considerable value for shareholders.
