Abstract
Standard index of air pollutant, meteorology factor and acute respiratory infections occurrence in PekanbaruPurposeThis study aimed to define the correlation between standard index of air pollutants and meteorological factors with the acute respiratory infection in Pekanbaru.MethodsThis research was an ecology study by time trend analysis. The independent variables were Air Pollution Standard Index (PM10, SO2, CO, NO2, and O3), meteorological factors (solar radiation, temperature, humidity, wind speed), while the dependent variable was the number of acute respiratory infections.ResultsThere were correlations between standard index air pollutants and meteorology with acute respiratory tract infection whether statistics and charts/time-trend. Acute respiratory infection with acute respiratory tract infection one month (lag 1), PM10 in the same month (lag 0), SO2 one month (lag 1), CO in the same month (lag 0), CO one month (lag 1), O3 one month (lag 1), NO2 in the same month (lag 0), NO2 one month (lag 1), the temperature in the same month (lag 0), humidity one month (lag 1), wind speed in the same month (lag 0), solar radiation in the same month (lag 0), and hot spots in the same month (lag 0) are predictor variables that influence the trends in acute respiratory infection.ConclusionThe acute respiratory infection follows fluctuations in standard index air pollutants and meteorology.
