Abstract
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to present technical specifications of a logging tool where it can identify the well integrity system failure due to various scenarios including:
communication between Borehole and Tubing-Casing Annulus, or TCA (A-annulus) through one of the completion elements; leak of the tubing itself; communication between TCA and the 1st Casing-Casing Annulus, or CCA1 (B-Annulus); and communication between CCA1 and the 2nd Casing-Casing Annulus, or CCA2 (C-annulus), when the movement of unwanted fluid happened through the casing leaks.
There is a described approach when downhole data which includes high-definition spectral noise and high-precision temperature (HPT) logging results is supporting the surface pressure data, and the source of Sustained Annulus Pressure (SAP) in all annuli was revealed confidently.
The diagnostics can be conveyed in boreholes that are mainly filled by gas with some liquid hydrocarbon and water content. The survey also can be done under two types of conditions: shut-in, which is the baseline, and several dynamic conditions. The purpose was to change the well regime and capture events that are related to well integrity issues. This comprehensive survey results will lead to correct decisions of well workover.
