This paper explores the integration of human factors engineering principles into rig move planning to enhance safety in the oil and gas industry. It discusses the significance of considering human factors such as fatigue, stress, communication, and decision-making in rig move operations. By adopting a human-centric approach, the paper aims to mitigate the risks of human errors and accidents during drilling activities. Through the application of human factors engineering methodologies, including task analysis, workload assessment, and ergonomic design, the paper proposes strategies to optimize rig move planning processes and improve operational safety. The study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between drilling personnel, engineers, and safety professionals to develop effective rig move plans that prioritize human factors considerations for enhanced safety outcomes.
