Abstract
Summary
This paper discusses the execution, analysis, and results of an unconventional waterflood pilot in a major, naturally fractured chalk, oil reservoir in the North Sea. Pilot operation above formation parting pressure (FPP) solved the low-injectivity problem but required use of new and innovative techniques to interpret and to predict pilot behavior properly.
