Abstract
Abstract
A brief overview of the 5-year Stanford horizontal wellbore experimental program is presented. Different existing mechanistic flow models, simplified flow models as well as empirical correlations are applied to analyze the 1995, 1996 and 1997 Stanford horizontal wellbore experiments. Comparisons between measurement and prediction are performed, which lead to the conclusion that none of the existing models can predict, with sufficient accuracy, pressure drops for gas-liquid wellbore flow with radial influx.
