Abstract

<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">For reduction in emission directly or indirectly given by vehicles, development of new-generation vehicles like hybrid electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles, has been greatly encouraged. Use of the regenerative braking for these vehicles is expected, for further improvement in the energy consumption. However, application of the regenerative brake is affected by the vehicle type, and so the brake system has to meet various requirements. For braking system in such vehicles, it is also important whether vacuum for the vacuum booster can be provided from the engine or not.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">In such backgrounds, Bosch provides and will continue to provide several customized solutions for the regenerative braking, ranging from the entry-level system to the fully-integrated systems in which the regenerative braking system is unified with the vacuum-independent brake system.</div></div>
