Abstract
We developed a real-time vibration measurement system using low-reflectance fiber Bragg-grating (FBG) arrays with a high-speed, wavelength-swept laser whose sweep bandwidth, center wavelength, and sweep rate were 60 nm, 1550 nm, and 50 kHz, respectively. Twenty FBGs were multipointed by combining wavelength-division-multiplexing and time-division-multiplexing using these arrays. Experiments demonstrated the feasibility of real-time vibration measurement with 20 FBGs with a temporal resolution of 10 μs.
