Abstract
A simple method using DC-balanced line-coding and receiver-side high-pass filtering is proposed to mitigate MPI in high-speed PAM4 transmission. 5-dB improvement in MPI tolerance is achieved in both simulations and experiments for 25GBd PAM4 transmissions.
