On the Rate Monitoring Performance of Active Learning-based Classifier for PCS-based Rate-flexible TWDM-CPON

Abstract

We firstly demonstrated an active learning (AL)-based classifier for monitoring the entropy/rate of the PCS-based rate-flexible TWDM-CPON. For an 80-km 350-Gb/s/λ~450-Gb/s/ λ. downstream, AL-based scheme achieves 100%/95% entropy/rate identification accuracies corresponding to 25/5 Gbps tuning steps.
