Abstract
In this work, we propose and demonstrate a silicon-based integrated photonic-assisted emitter. It consists of an aperiodically distributed traveling wave photodetector (TWPD), a compact Yagi antenna and a bias circuitry network. The measured radiated power of this emitter is above -20 dBm from 31 GHz to 38 GHz. Furthermore, a wireless data transmission at 3/5/8 Gbps is demonstrated.
