An attosecond precision balanced timing detector using single photodetector

Abstract

An attosecond-precision balanced timing detector using a single photodetector is demonstrated. The electronic noise during photodetection is well suppressed and a detection floor of 5×10-10 fs2/Hz is achieved with 1.4 mW input power.
