Short-Pulse Generation from Active Mode Locking with RF Frequency Comb

Abstract

We demonstrate superior performance of active harmonic mode locked laser driven with RF frequency comb in terms of shorter pulse width, better phase noise, side mode suppression and timing jitter compared to single RF tone.
