An ultra-wide tunable femtosecond light source covering over 5 octaves from the UV to the far IR with 80 MHz repetition rate and high spectral brilliance

Abstract

Starting from a mode-locked femtosecond Yb-laser we generate shot noise limited pulses tunable from 332 nm up to 18,000 nm using a synchronously pumped OPO and cascaded SHG, THG, FHG and DFG generation.
