On the Large-Scale Field Experiment of Machine Learning-Aided Fiber-Optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing for Early Detection of Red Palm Weevils

Abstract

We report, for the first time, on the large-scale field deployment of machine learning-aided fiber-optic distributed acoustic sensing for the early detection of Red Palm Weevil larvae in fully operational date palm farms.
