Perspectives and experimental challenges of high repetition rate THz generation via optical rectification in GaP crystals inside an enhancement resonator

Abstract

We report on GaP crystal characterization for the generation of milliwatt-level THz radiation inside an enhancement resonator pumped by near-infrared pulses, with the aim of overcoming high-average power and nonlinear absorption limits.
