Study on improving the real-time performance of Self-Coupled Distance and Velocity Sensor

Abstract

Self-coupled distance and velocity sensors calculate distance and velocity using self-coupled signals, which are obtained using the triangular wave modulation of laser diodes. Previous research on distance and velocity sensors based on self-coupled signals used multiple triangular wave pulses to obtain data, which is time-consuming. To solve this problem, we have devised a method to completely measure distance and velocity using a single pulse of the self-coupled signal. This paper reports the verification results of distance and velocity based on a single pulse.
