Peak Power Dependence in Bacterial Inactivation Using UV-C Pulsed Light Irradiation

Abstract

Pulsed UV-C irradiation is an efficient method for bacterial inactivation. A comparative UV-C irradiation experiment with femtosecond and microsecond pulses reveals that high peak power is one of the key factors for effective inactivation.
