Abstract
Summary
Prostate cancer is the second-most common malignancy in men. Risk factors include age, family history, and genetic predisposition. Gleason grading remains one of the strongest prognostic factors in prostate cancer which has been modified multiple times with the most recent modifications brought in ISUP 2019 consensus conference and by GUPS. This chapter aims to familiarize the urologist with the nuances of pathology reporting, especially the Gleason scoring system in a simplified manner with some practical updates. It also brings forth the latest upcoming trends in areas of the utility of artificial intelligence in the field of prostate pathology.
