Abstract

Abstract Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw is a comparatively recent addition to the panel of pathologies affecting the jawbones. Its clinical presentation shares features with radiation osteonecrosis and osteomyelitis. Imprudent dental procedures may initiate the cascade of events that lead to irreversible changes that impact the QOL of vulnerable patients. Hence, a working knowledge of this entity is imperative.
