Abstract

ABSTRACT Granular cell tumors (GCTs) (Abrikossoff’s tumors) are rare neoplasms derived from Schwann cells. Immunohistochemistry remains the most useful instrument for diagnosing GCTs. Complete surgical excision has been demonstrated to be curative for benign lesions. However, long-term follow-up in these patients is strongly recommended.
