Abstract
The silent pandemic of noncommunicable diseases has established its roots worldwide. India itself has witnessed a major shift of paradigm from communicable to noncommunicable diseases. This has caused a significant financial, social, and psychological burden on people. All eyes have now turned toward managing dyslipidemia, which is undeniably one of the major contributors to this pandemic. Over the last few decades, major health organizations have proposed guidelines and recommendations to free the world from this rampant pandemic. While the policies made have benefited millions of people across the world, India seems to be far from these benefits. This article aims to bring up the intricacies of lipid guidelines in the Indian context in a simpler way.
