Abstract

ABSTRACT Aim: To evaluate the mandibular incisive nerve canal’s prevalence, location, and size. Objectives: To ascertain the frequency, relationship to surrounding critical structures, and variance in the size and position of the mandibular incisive nerve canal. Materials and Methods: Mandibular incisive canal (MIC) measurements, locations, and prevalence were noted in 80 patients’ cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), ranging in age from 18 to 80. Result: The overall incidence of missing canals was found to be 30% on the right side, 33.75% on the left, and 23.75% on both sides. Conclusion: In summary, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (3 Tesla) and other higher-resolution imaging modalities should be compared with CBCT for accurate MIC measurement and location assessment.
