Abstract

ABSTRACT Orthodontic extrusion of canines, although challenging, can yield excellent results without tooth extraction. Temporary anchorage devices (TADs), involving mini-implants in the alveolar bone, offer stable anchorage via biomechanics. This case report details orthodontic extrusion of bilaterally impacted maxillary canines using TAD mini-implants and elastics. The patient had bimaxillary protrusion, moderate crowding, deep bite, and vertical growth pattern, necessitating careful treatment planning. The combination of TAD mini-implants with Class-II elastics simplified biomechanics. The treatment achieved efficient results, maintained adjacent teeth positioning, and improved patient compliance.
