Abstract
Abstract
Corneal dysgenesis encompasses a spectrum of congenital disorders affecting the development and structure of the cornea, leading to a range of visual impairments. This review provides a thorough examination of current research in the understanding of corneal dysgenesis, shedding light on its genetic basis, molecular mechanisms, and clinical manifestations. Additionally, the review discusses the impact of corneal dysgenesis on patient outcomes and quality of life, emphasizing the need for personalized approaches in diagnosis and management. By synthesizing recent findings, this study aims to contribute to the collective knowledge base, fostering further research, and ultimately enhancing our ability to diagnose, treat, and prevent corneal dysgenesis.
