Rare Sites and Presentations of Pleomorphic Adenoma – A Case Series

Abstract

Abstract Pleomorphic adenoma is the most frequently occurring benign salivary gland neoplasm, commonly in the major salivary gland. Sometimes, it can also occur in the minor salivary glands, the common site being the palate, the lips, and the cheeks. Rarely, it can also be seen in locations such as on the tongue, floor of the mouth, pharynx, retromolar area, tonsil, and nasal cavity. We discuss some interesting cases of uncommon locations of pleomorphic adenoma involving minor salivary glands and its clinical, diagnostic, and treatment aspects. Here, we present four rare presentations of pleomorphic adenoma treated in our department. The patient details and clinical pictures were taken after informed consent.
