Abstract
Abstract
Global health inequity remains a major challenge despite ambitious goals. Disparities exist between rural and urban areas, high-income countries, and low-and middle-income countries (LMICs), and in representation at conferences and leadership positions. These gaps lead to delayed diagnoses, untreated illnesses, and preventable deaths in LMICs and rural communities. Addressing this issue requires financial inclusivity, deconstructing power imbalances, investing in rural health care, strengthening LMIC health systems, and promoting global health equity. Only through concrete actions can we bridge the gap and ensure health care for all.
