Abstract
The aim of the study is to present our observations related to the diagnosis and treatment of peptic ulcers in dogs based on clinical cases. Symptoms of gastric ulcers are not very characteristic, and the „gold standard” in their diagnosis is gastroscopy combined with the collection of mucosa specimens for histopathological examination. In the treatment of peptic ulcers, the following are used: drugs that inhibit gastric acid secretion, cytoprotective drugs, prokinetic drugs, and in justified cases, eradication procedures. Appropriate diet therapy is also important.
