Proton and carbon-13 NMR studies of methyl-(6-O-L-phenylalanyl)-α-D-glucoside and methyl-(6-O-D-phenylalanyl)-α-D-glucoside by 1H and 13C nmr showed that the LD compound is more flexible than DD and that DD probably assumes a folded conformation.
