A MACROECONOMIC STUDY ON THE FUTURE OF GLOBAL INTERDEPENDENCE11The project FUGI (Future of Global Interdependence) was launched in 1976 by three co-leaders such as Y. Kaya, A. Onishi and Y. Suzuki who joined to construct a new global model complex under the sponsorship of National Institute for Research Advancement of Japan, where three models were interlinked with each other. They are, a global macroeconomic model (GMEM), a global input-output model (GIOM), and a global metallic resource model. A complete report of the project at this stage was presented at 5th IIASA Global Modelling Conference in 1977 and published in its proceedings.
