Abstract

All grease-gun injuries to the hand should be X-rayed to determine the extent of contamination, as many types of grease are radio-opaque. If the grease is not radio-opaque a Xeroradiograph should be performed. Further X-ray films may be taken during the operation to ensure complete removal.
