Abstract
The role of the chief information security officer (CISO) is becoming more complex. The dangers presented by cyberthreats have finally made it into the consciousness of business leaders and company boardrooms. This means that security professionals are no longer employed just to ensure that firewall rules are up to date – they have the responsibility for eliminating existential threats to the whole organisation.
