1. Two Lettsomian lectures delivered before the Medical Society of London by Prof. Henry Cohen of Liverpool on May 17 and 24. Lettsom had an early association with Liverpool; it was there he studied for two years at " a seminary to learn merchant's accounts preparatory to admission to a mercantile house," before the events which led to his being apprenticed to Abraham Sutcliff, surgeon and apothecary, at Settle.
