Abstract
Tepex continuous-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite semi-finished products are becoming increasingly popular in lightweight automotive design. Underbody components represent an important field of application with strong growth prospects. These components are manufactured in compression and flow molding processes using thermoplastic molding compounds. The semi-finished products serve as overlays, which significantly increase the mechanical performance of the compression-molded components while offering cost-effective component solutions.
