Abstract
The US Department of Energy has launched the Million Mile Fuel Cell Truck (M2FCT) and H2NEW consortia to reduce the cost of fuel cells for trucks and large-scale electrolysers for hydrogen production, respectively, and is funding the continuation of the HydroGEN consortium studying water-splitting materials. DOE is also partnering with the Dutch government to collect, analyse and share information on hydrogen production and infrastructure technologies.
