2. Fluctuation pressure of a stack of membranes
3. W. Janke, H. Kleinert, M. Meinhardt, Phys. Lett. B 217 (1989) 525. The simulations were repeated by G. Gompper, D.M. Kroll, Europhys. Lett. 9 (1989) 58 with the results α1≈0.0798,α∞≈(4/3)α1≈0.106. A further simulation of α∞ was recently reported by R.R. Netz, R. Lipowski, Europhys. Lett. 29 (1995) 345, with the result α∞≈(3/2)π2/128≈0.119, which is half as big as Helfrich's original estimate 3π2/128 in Ref. [1]. Another estimate α∞≈0.0810 was given by F. David, J. de Phys. 51 (1990) C7-115.
