Abstract
Modifications are suggested
for the structure of products formed in the ring opening of nopinone by hydrogen chloride. The action of dilute
sulphuric acid upon nopinone has been shown to yield
4-isopropylcyclohex-3-enone and 4-isopropenylcyclohexanone
in addition to the previously reported products.
