Abstract
The dependence on
composition of the polarity of H2O+MeCN mixtures has been determined
from measurements of the empirical solvent polarity parameter ET. ET has been found to vary with composition in a similar
fashion to that which has been reported previously for most other H2O+non-electrolyte
mixtures for which ET data
are available. The variation of ET
with composition is interpreted in terms of the Naberukhin-Rogov structural
model for H2O+nonelectrolyte mixtures.
