Abstract
Eleven crossbred lambs grew wool which lacked crimp while on four liquid diets of reconstituted dried cows' milk with added vitamins and minerals. Three of the lambs lost their wool even though they were increasing in body weight. The skin of these lambs displayed considerable erythroderma. Regrowth of wool, still lacking crimp, occurred on a diet with increased amounts of several B-group vitamins. Crimp formation resumed in the wool c. 2 weeks after the lambs were weaned.
