Abstract
Calculations for (d, p) stripping on the doubly magic calcium nuclei 40Ca and 48Ca leading to the ground states of 41Ca and 49Ca have been carried out on the basis of the sudden approximation method of deuteron stripping developed by Butler, Hewitt, McKellar, and May.
