Abstract
Chlorpyrifos, methomyl and trichlorphon, at rates of 0.25-1.0 kg ha-1, were evaluated against mixed outbreaks in pastures of Spodoptera rnauritia and Pseudaletia convecta caterpillars in three experiments in New South Wales. Chlorpyrifos was the most effective chemical and at 0.25 kg ha-1 controlled both species in all experiments. Methomyl and trichlorphon each at 0.5 kg ha-1, also gave acceptable control. A comparison of costs of similar levels of control favoured trichlorphon at 0.5 kg ha-1.
