Abstract
The rotatory dispersion curves of 30
cobalt(III) complexes have been described and the absolute configurations of
some of the complexes have been assessed by relating their rotatory dispersion
curves to that of the D(+)-[Coen3]3+
ion. The assessment is supported by recent kinetic and stereochemical results.
The use of rotatory dispersion to detect stereochemical change is discussed.
