Abstract
The excess volumes of
binary mixtures of n-pentane, n-hexane, n- heptane, n-octane, n-nonane and n-decane+cyclohexane were measured at 298.150 K
with a continuous dilution dilatometer. The excess volumes were positive with
the exception of mixtures of n-pentane with cyclohexane for which values were
negative at all concentrations. The results have been compared with those
published recently from data obtained in three systematic studies involving pycnometry, a vibrating tube densimeter and a
semi-continuous dilatometer.
