Abstract
Rimuene has been found in several species of Epacridaceae and Ericaceae. Considerable infraspecific variation exists in rimuene content of the epicuticular wax of Richea continentis and, to a lesser extent, in Leucopogon amplexicaulis and Gaultheria appressa. There is no obvious correlation between the rimuene content and the characteristics of the habitat; therefore, the existence of chemotypes is postulated.
