Abstract
A new species of Parapithomyces is described and illustrated, and compared with the type and only other species, P. brideliae. Cultural studies have shown that the new species has a Pseudocercospora synanamorph, for which no suitable specific epithet can be found among the Cercospora-like fungi described on Clitoria.
